Chinese Rural Education Development Report, NIES Research Group

The Chinese Rural Education Development Report conducted a systematic study on trends and issues in the rural education development of China. China is stepping into a period of accelerated urbanization, and the economy, population structure and other factors post new opportunities and challenges to the development of rural education. In this context, the study combines overall situation analysis with special topic examination: “statistics data analysis with targeting research” and “domestic analysis with international comparison”, based on the classification standard of the urbanization rate and under the lead of the development index of rural education.  It presents an overall depiction and multi-dimension analysis on the national and provincial situation, and arrives at a comprehensive conclusion about the development of rural education development at a national and provincial level. Meanwhile, the book presents findings of special investigations on pressing issues and difficult problems, analysis of core reasons, and proposes solutions.
